Staines bid a sad farewell last week to the late Mrs Ellen Watson aged 111 years. Mrs Watson was the third eldest person in the country and just short of her 112th birthday when she passed away.
Mrs Watson has resided in Meadowside Care Home in Staines for the last 10 years, where she was very happy and made many friends amongst the staff and other residents.

Sara Matthews, Lodge Brothers Marketing Manager, ran last Sunday in the Santa Fun Run in aid of the Princess Alice Hospice.
