Lodge Brothers of Feltham recently conducted the funeral of t/l Hayden Mputa, a little boy who loved Spiderman. The funeral arrangements therefore had a Spiderman theme, with a horse drawn hearse decorated in the colours of red white and blue. The crew all wore red ties, the horses wore red plumes and their drapes showed illustrations of the character.

Easter celebrations started at Derwent Lodge Nursing Home in Feltham this week, when Dora Manning of Lodge Brothers made a delivery of Hot Cross Buns for the residents. St David’s Day was celebrated last week at our flagship Feltham Branch with a fabulous window display of over three hundred daffodils and leeks.
Branch Arranger Dora Manning said, ‘Many people commented on our St. David’s Floral Display as daffodils mean that Spring is in the air, and after the weather of late, that is a welcome sight. It also makes a change to the more traditional Welsh Flag.’

The Funeral Service of a senior Feltham resident, the late Sydney Patrick Peachey was carried out on Monday at St Dunstan’s Parish Church in Feltham.
Sydney Peachey, who was know to family and friends as ‘Pat’, had seen active service in World War II and was a cook and sergeant in the RAF. A resident of Feltham for many years, he was 98 when he died at the end of January.
