This is a very belated note of thanks for everything that you did to guide us through dad’s farewell.   It’s difficult to describe in an email just how much of a support you were.  Rest assured I will be forever thankful.  And Reg.  “Just search for the tall chap in the top hat” you said, “he knows what to do”.  And he did – with a hugely-appreciated twinkle in his eye and such warm reassurance.  I, of course, stood there wondering where my voice had gone as I tried to read the poem during the ceremony…  But Andrew, again, was never far away – and so comfortingly ready to jump in.  Thankfully it wasn’t necessary.  They both turned the day in to a reason to smile and gave dad a great send off.
