Our sincere thanks for what was of course a sad occasion for us all as a family. The true gratitude we extend to Lodge Brothers, for making the occasion a most professional and respectful send off for my mother.

From the time we stepped into your West Byfleet office, through to the completion of the funeral itself. We were greeted with the upmost sympathy and respect – not of course just towards ourselves, but of course towards my late mother as well.

Please extend our thanks to all involved, especially Annie for her caring, help and guidance at this difficult time.

I just wanted to write and express my gratitude for your help in arranging my father’s funeral which was held yesterday at Woking Crematorium. Everything went smoothly from start to finish – we were never made to feel pressured or obliged during our first meeting with Annie, and when the staff arrived with the hearse and limousine they were polite, respectful and understanding. I was particularly grateful for the patience and care shown to my elderly grandfather who has a bad back and was helped in and out of the car with care and courtesy. There were no hiccups or misunderstandings and we were looked after the whole time by your excellent team. It really helped to relieve the pressure of what was obviously a sad day for all of us. Thank you again for striking the perfect balance of kindness and professionalism – we are all extremely grateful.

Just a short note to say thank you from me and the family for arranging such a great funeral. It all went very smoothly and I have to say I was very impressed with the way the funeral attendants handled everything. I was especially touched and afraid to say tearful (and trying to drive at the same time!) over the walking in front of the hearse and the respectful bows to the hearse. Not seen this before at other funerals I have attended and thought it was fantastic, a fantastic job well done and I hope if Mum was looking on that she approved.

Just to say what a fabulous job your team did for us yesterday, very professional and respectful, a difficult day for all but blown away by the attendance and very fitting tribute to Mum. Many thanks to you and your team for all the help you have given me and the family during this difficult time.

Dear Annie, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support and sensitivity with the organisation of my grandmother’s funeral. The gentlemen who came to the house the night she passed away on 3rd October were absolutely amazing, I could not fault them at all. They were very kind; and at such a terribly traumatic time they brought comfort and a sense of security. With regards to the funeral arrangements you were exceptionally understanding in what we wanted. On the day of the funeral again, the staff were absolutely amazing, very, very kind, considerate and above all respectful. Thank you from all of the family for all your help. Dear Mr Lodge, at such a sad time for our family, we were so pleased that you looked after my husband’s funeral in not only a professional but also a gentle and caring way, giving us the opportunity of being part of the ceremonial at both the Church and the Crematorium. Your staff were kindly, courteous and quietly efficient, and gently guided us on the day itself – we as a family had never had to deal with a funeral before, and had no idea how to proceed. I very much depended on Keith who guided us on the day itself. If I may single anyone out, it would be Annie, who looked after me and our daughters, rather like a loving sister or aunt, and that made us feel very much an integral part of the day, sad as it was.

Once again, may I thank you and Annie for everything you did for my family following the death of my dad. I cannot tell you how reassuring and caring you were at a very painful time for us all.

although all the staff were fantastic, I would like to single out Andrew Lodge for taking time to ensure that Grandad’s tie was perfectly presented – something my Grandad was always very particular about.
