Hi Alex,

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for everything that you and the team at Lodge Brothers did.

The gentleman who came to pick up my mum’s body after she passed away at home were extremely professional, pleasant and gracious and gave my mother as much dignity as possible. It was a very nice connection that one of these gentlemen turned out to be a pallbearer at the funeral.

I then spoke to Victoria over the weekend, as she was providing the out of hours cover. Victoria was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable on everything involved. She was able to expertly talk and guide me through everything and then followed up with information by email, including swiftly answering email queries. By the time I contacted the branch on Monday, we were already able as a family to have made some important decisions and get ahead with all the steps involved.

Alex in the New Malden branch has been truly superb, taking care of all the arrangements with so much compassion and care. He was very thorough and responsive to our questions along the way and very sensitive to our needs as a family during this more complicated period of coronavirus and the restrictions this involved. He himself has made great family sacrifices to keep working which we have the upmost respect and gratitude for. Despite the restrictions, we were very pleased to have been able to visit the Chapel of Rest and thought the New Malden branch was very well set up.

From our initial contact to the conclusion of matters, Lodge have been professional, gracious and personal to deal with. The people we have been helped by clearly deeply care about what they are doing and have great compassion. My father, our family and I would like to express our sincere thanks.

I would just like to thank you formally for all that you have done with the funeral arrangements to help me through from B’s death, to the funeral yesterday, and beyond in helping me think about what next with the ashes, etc.
Your attention to detail has been much appreciated as has the caring way in which you have liaised with me. It has made such a difference to what has been an unprecedented time with the Corona Virus restrictions, added to the difficulty of losing my loved one to the virus.
It was unfortunate about the flowers yesterday which I know was not of your doing. I think you were as upset as I was about their non-delivery. However, I would like to Thank Robert and you for organising the beautiful blue and pink bouquet for me. The flowers have come in my favourite soft colours and are gorgeous, as are the white ones in the sheath which were meant for yesterday. I have found a home for them all.
The funeral arrangements themselves went very smoothly, managed with sensitivity around the restrictions, and we felt well taken care of by Robert and the team.
