J.Monk & Sons Provide Insight into the Funeral Industry for Trainee Priests

The vicar of St. Mary’s Worplesdon, the Rev. Hugh Greer, is currently acting as mentor to two trainee ministers due to be ordained next month.
The ladies had no knowledge of how funeral directors work, or how crematoriums operate, so J.Monk & Sons agreed to act as a guide to these services.
They spent a morning with District Manager Keith Hopkins, who went through all the relevant procedures carried out by the funeral arranger, and how clients are cared for. They were then given a tour of Woking Crematorium, showing them front and rear of house.
Keith explained, “We are always more than happy to spend time with ministers to give them a better understanding of our work, and what is involved. It gives us great pleasure to know that the knowledge we impart on them, helps them to feel more confident in their own work.”
