Residents of Barnes Wallis Court of Byfleet recently enjoyed an afternoon of tea, cake and musical memories thanks to the staff of Lodge Brothers & Boutell.
Barnes Wallis Court is a complex of retirement apartments, all the residents are independent and frequently host events in the communal hall onsite, but coming up with ideas or finance to put on entertainment is not always easy. Nicole Anderson, funeral arranger for Lodge Brothers & Boutell, saw an opportunity to assist and lay on an afternoon of entertainment for the residents.
Vic Cracknell, a professional musician, was engaged and he provided a vast array of songs to sing and dance along too, whilst and endless supply of tea and cake was served to over 30 residents who attended.
Kevin Martin, Estate Manager for Barnes Wallis Court, said, “We are grateful to Lodge Brothers and Boutell for thinking of us and for providing the residents with an afternoon of entertainment and refreshments, the partnership was a success and the residents had a great time.”
