Lodge Brothers had the honour of sponsoring Whiteley Village for another one of their great events this year. This time it was the Whiteley Races Day, which were held on Sunday 10th June, with over 500 participants of all ages. Numerous races were run, culminating in the main event, the 10k. Burvale Cemetery – Tony Hemsley Retires

After 34 years of service Tony, the resident grave digger at Burvale Cemetery is retiring. It’s definitely the end of an era but not to worry, Tony isn’t going far, he is remaining on-site as the steward of the cemetery but will now be concentrating on his love of motorbikes!
