Staines bid a sad farewell last week to the late Mrs Ellen Watson aged 111 years. Mrs Watson was the third eldest person in the country and just short of her 112th birthday when she passed away. For the second year running J.Monk & Sons, Guildford’s family run funeral directors, have hosted a Carol Service of Remembrance at the URC Church, Guildford.
