Nearly three years ago, Englefield Green resident John Scott, commented to friends that the village's fallen heroes of the World Wars and of conflicts around the world had not been properly recognised. The 'Artist in Residence' Scheme at St James Church in Weybridge was created as a way of bringing the Weybridge community together in an arts programme, involving businesses, schools and residents. Lodge Brothers District Manager Quentin Edgington recently took some Nursing home staff from Orione House in Hampton Wick, on a visit to Mortlake Crematorium.
He said, 'Everyone who attended found the visit very informative and the Mortlake staff very caring and professional. The staff team members found all their questions were answered and all the popular myths were dispelled!
