The Late Ellen White – Matron of Sunbury Nursing Homes for 46 Years
Ellen White, who was Matron of Sunbury Nursing Homes for over 46 years, died peacefully at St Peters Hospital Chertsey on Sunday 7th July 2013, at the age of 88.
Ellen, known to her family as Lil, was loving wife of the late Edmund (Ted) White, devoted mother of John, Joan, Norma & Christopher and proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren.
She was a wonderful lady, loved by all, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends in Kilnamartyra, Ballingeary & Cork.
Her body is to be taken home to Sunbury Nursing Home on Thursday 18th July at 4.15, where she will rest until the funeral the following day.
Family and friends are travelling from all over Ireland for the service, and there will be a cortege of 10 Limousines.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 19th July by Father Robert Hamilton at St Ignatius of Loyola RC Church at 12.00 noon, followed by burial at Sunbury Cemetery.
