Last Friday, Lodge Brothers Of Burpham conducted the funeral of the late Edgar Maybanks, the highly commended retired Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. Yesterday, we were honoured to conduct the funeral of Dot Beeson, founder and manager of The Swan Sanctuary in Shepperton. Dot had dedicated the last 40 years of her life to taking care of the local swan population, something that started in her back garden in Egham in 1980 and grew over 4 decades to the huge local landmark that it is today. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy.
