Yesterday, we were honoured to conduct the funeral of Dot Beeson, founder and manager of The Swan Sanctuary in Shepperton. Dot had dedicated the last 40 years of her life to taking care of the local swan population, something that started in her back garden in Egham in 1980 and grew over 4 decades to the huge local landmark that it is today.
