Annie Mackender, our funeral arranger at West Byfleet, was inspired by recent World War I window displays, and wanted to do something to commemorate Remembrance Day, marking the end of the war at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month.
She placed requests in local shop windows asking for members of the local community to bring in photographs of family members that had served in the war.

On Thursday 16th October 2014, Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors in Brentford held a Ceremony to officially dedicate the Chapel of Rest after an extensive refurbishment project.

On Saturday 11th October, Annie Mackender, funeral arranger at Lodge Brothers West Byfleet branch, and Keith Hopkins, Area Manager, attended a church service at St. John the Baptist in West Byfleet to welcome the new Minister for the Parish of West Byfleet.
The service was attended by The Right Reverend Ian Brackley Bishop of Dorking and The Venerable Paul Bryer Archdeacon of Dorking.

One of our local Churches, Church of the Good Shepherd recently held a “Celebrations Flower Festival” to commemorate 50 years since the Church opened.
Lodge Brothers had pride of place in the foyer and the arrangement had the 1st World War theme.
