Lodge Brothers branches across the region decorated their windows this week to commemorate the Japanese surrender in the Pacific, marking the end of World War 2.

A candle was lit overnight in our East Molesey branch earlier this week to commemorate the ending of World War II with the quote from General Douglas MacArthur, who accepted Japan’s surrender on behalf of the United Nations on 2nd September 1945:
“It is my earnest hope and indeed the hope of all mankind that from this solemn occasion a better world shall emerge out of the blood and carnage of the past.”

Lodge Brothers Of Ashford were able to make the funeral of Sitha Amber Kathan (known as Amber) “the fairytale ending to her short and meaningful life” according to her mother Averil.
