Our farewell to Dad on Wednesday was, personally, very sad and emotionally difficult, but was made that little bit easier to bear with the help of Duncan and the other gentlemen from Lodge Brothers, and, of course, all your assistance in the weeks before, helping us to prepare. Thank you for all your help – and your respectfulness and sensitivity throughout.

From the outset, I knew I wanted to appoint Donna to look after arrangements for my Mum’s funeral. She put me at ease as soon as I met her and talked me through all my options, allowing me time to consider what I wanted to do, and offering support and advice all the way through, never putting me under pressure. Donna made herself available whenever I needed her and she became more of a friend to me, listening and offering advice when needed. She even sat with me listening to countless music tracks, trying to select what I wanted to be played at the crematorium. I always felt Donna genuinely wanted to help and do all she could to help me during what has been a very difficult time. She made things that little bit easier and I am very thankful for that. Donna is such a compassionate and personable individual and I felt comfortable all would be well looked after in her capable hands. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to manage arrangements and will be forever grateful.
