At this time of year, every arranger at Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors places a memory tree in their branch. This tree is for visitors to attach a card, remembering their loved one who has passed away in recent months. Chertsey branch is no exception. However arranger, Helen Kempster and manager, Richard Leachman organised for local vicar, Rev Tim Hillier to come to the branch to bless the tree in a short ceremony attended by a few bereaved family members. After the service, the friends then added their own memory cards to the tree before refreshments were served.
In the photograph, Rev Hillier is standing at the tree with local man, Terry Crossan, whose beloved wife Janice passed away in October.
