Funeral Plans

The Sherwood

The Sherwood Funeral Plan includes:

• Professional guidance on the registration of death and completion of statutory forms for burial or cremation.
• Taking the deceased from a local address to our nearest premises. Please note that if you move from the address specified in the plan additional fees could apply.
• Care of the deceased prior to the funeral including the use of the Chapel of Rest for visiting.
• A simulated elm style coffin.
• Provision of a hearse from a local address to the place of worship for the funeral service (if required) before proceeding to the local cemetery or crematorium.
• Funeral Director and bearers for the funeral service in normal working hours.

An additional fee will be added to the plan to cover the essential costs of cremation (eg. Fees paid to Crematorium, Minister, Doctors). A church service can be provided and the Ministers fee is included in the cost of the Plan. However, other fees charged by the Church are not included in the Plan.

The Salisbury

A polished mahogany veneered MDF coffin with routed panels, fitted with three pairs of brassed finished handles and an inscription plate. The interior is lined with a taffeta frill and a gown to match.

This coffin comes with our Salisbury Funeral Plan that includes:

The Coloured Coffin

This MDF coffin is suitable for spraying with a matt finish in white, pink, green, red or blue. It is fitted with three pairs of suitable handles and an inscription plate. Interior lined with a taffeta frill and gown to match.

The Water Hyacinth

A half round casket, curved one end, in hand woven hyacinth and fitted with six wooden handles, name plate and seven toggles to secure the lid. Lined with a cotton lining, only suitable for “own clothes”. Maximum height 6’2”.

• Taking the deceased from a local address to our nearest premises. Please note that if you move from the address specified in the plan additional fees could apply.

• Listing of floral tributes or donations in lieu.

The Bespoke

A personal tribute can be mounted on this MDF coffin. You can choose from a selection of designs, or design your own with help from a professional designer. The coffin is fitted with a white mattress, pillow and frill. The exterior is fitted with handles and wreath holders.

A traditional shaped coffin in weather-beaten gold willow, inlaid with dark green bands. Fitted with six woven willow handles. Interior lined with un-bleached natural cotton lining. Only suitable for “own clothes”. Maximum height 6’2”, maximum weight 25 stone.
