Over £3000 Raised in Memory of Angela Craven
Family and friends of the late Angela Mollie Craven have given donations totalling over £3000 in her memory. This will be divided between two charities, with £1500 going to the Jubilee Trust Fund at Hillingdon Hospital Maternity Ward and £1510 to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Angela, who’s funeral service was recently held at St. John’s Church in Hillingdon, was very popular and well known in the Hillingdon area and regularly attended St. John’s Church.
For many years she worked in the maternity ward at Hillingdon Hospital as well as helping locally with social services working with the homeless and single parents. Angela retired only three years ago at the age of 73.
A presentation of the cheque to the Jubilee Trust Fund was held at Hillingdon Hospital at 4.00 pm on Thursday 30th July. The cheque was presented to the Head of Midwifery by Angela’s husband Gervase Craven and Nigel Green-Smith of A.V. Smith & Sons, the funeral directors who arranged Angela’s funeral and collected all the donations from family and friends of Angela and Gervase.
