Local Funeral Directors to appear on Polish television
Barnes & Sons the family owned funeral directors in Askew Road, Shepherds Bush is to appear in the leading Polish television drama series The Londoners.
The film crew spent most of Friday 24 July shooting two separate scenes of the leading female character arriving outside the funeral directors and entering the premises.
The Londoners is a very popular drama series depicting the lives of Polish immigrants in London and is Poland’s answer to Eastenders. It is produced at Ealing Studios.
Speaking about allowing their premises to be used for filming, Andrew Lodge, manager of Barnes & Sons, said “We are very pleased to be able to be of assistance in providing a location of a traditional family owned funeral directors. We understand The Londoners is one of Poland’s favourite television programmes.”
