Local Funeral Directors open their doors
As part of their initiative to support local charities and organisations, local funeral directors Cecil Newling in Royston are holding an Open Day on Saturday 11th October.
Their premises at Newling House on Market Hill will be open to all visitors from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Everyone is welcome to pop in for a tea or coffee and cake with all the proceeds going to support the League of Friends of Royston Hospital.
There will be a White Dove Release as well as a Horse Drawn Hearse on display alongside Cecil Newling’s new fleet of limousines.
Visitors will be able to look all around the premises and Funeral Conductors and Funeral Arrangers will be on hand to answer any questions, to help dispel some of the myths and mysteries of what happens at a Funeral Directors.
Cecil Newling’s staff will also be available to offer assistance and advice on traditional or alternative funeral services and funeral planning.
Speaking about the charity fund raising event, Nigel Anthony the Manager of Cecil Newling said “We are delighted to be able to open up our premises to raise funds for the League of Friends of Royston Hospital. We hope local people will come along and support this excellent local charity.”
