Dedication Service at
refurbished Funeral Directors
Lodge Brothers, the local family owned funeral directors, have totally refurbished their branch 3 & 5 The Parade, Staines Road West, Sunbury. To celebrate the completion of the work, a Service of Dedication is being held at the branch from 5.00pm on Monday 29th September.
The Guest of Honour will be The Mayor and Mayoress of Spelthorne, Councillor Simon and Mrs Candy Bhadye.
The Service and Blessing of the Chapel of Rest will be led by Fr. Rod Cosh the Area Dean of Spelthorne from St. Peters Church in Staines. A reading will be given by Rev. Terry Wright the Methodist Superintendent from Sunbury Methodist Church. This will be followed by Prayers led by Rev. David Priddy from Ashford Common Baptist Church.
Other invited guests include retired Ministers from local churches and care staff from local nursing and residential homes.
A brief welcome and introduction will be given by Beverley Lodge, one of the six members of the Lodge family who are the seventh generation of family funeral directors.
Speaking about the refurbishment of the Sunbury branch, Beverley Lodge commented “The interior décor and furnishings have been designed to ensure bereaved families are treated with care and compassion in their time of need. The improvements are part of our policy of providing the highest standards of care and personal service to the local community.”
