Dedication Service at refurbished Funeral Directors
Lodge Brothers & Barton, the family owned funeral director in Hounslow have totally refurbished their premises at 116 Hanworth Road. To celebrate the completion of the work, a Service of Dedication is being held at the branch from 11.30 am on Tuesday 29th April.
The Guest of Honour will be Councillor Andy Morgan-Watts, His Worshipful the Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, who will be unveiling a commemorative plaque.
Following a brief introduction and welcome by Robert Lodge, Director of Lodge Brothers & Barton, opening prayers will be given by Cannon Malcolm Herbert of Holy Trinity Church. This will be followed by a reading by Reverend Andrew Heron on the Hounslow Evangelical Church.
A Dedication Prayer for the refurbished Chapel of Rest will be given by Father Tony Convery of St. Michael & Martin Roman Catholic Church in Hounslow.
Reverend Andrew Heron will give a brief presentation on Christian Funeral Traditions which will be followed by a traditional Hindu prayer by Pandit Dr Tanaji Acharya and a traditional Sikh prayer by Bhai Karnail Singh.
A brief presentation on Sikh traditions and the Gurdwara Alice Way in Hounslow and the Mandir serving the local area will also be given to invited guests including doctors and care staff from local hospitals and nursing homes.
Prior to the unveiling of a commemorative plaque by the Mayor, Beverley Lodge Director of Lodge Brothers & Barton will give a short closing speech.
Comforting and informal surroundings for all faiths
The new décor and improved facilities have been designed to provide comforting and informal surroundings, including the refurbished Chapel of Rest for all faiths and a private meeting room where families can discuss funeral arrangements.
Speaking about the work carried out at Lodge Brothers & Barton premises, Beverley Lodge Director of Lodge Brothers commented “As a local family owned company, with branches throughout the area, we are pleased to be able to serve local families of all faiths in Hounslow. The improvements to these premises are part of our policy of providing the highest standards of care and personal service to the local community.

Unlike many local funeral directors, formerly owned by local families, who have joined major national groups we are proud to say that after 225 years our company is run by six members of the Lodge family who are the seventh generation of family owned funeral directors.”
The Lodge Brothers & Barton branch is managed by Beverley Lodge and Quentin Edgington along with funeral arranger Jacqueline Crew.
