Local Funeral Director Receives
Top Industry Award
Local funeral director Gabby Sanchez of A.V.Smith
& Sons of Hillingdon has recently achieved
the highest qualification in the UK funeral industry.
The Diploma in Funeral Directing is awarded by
the Institute of Leadership Management and the
National Association of Funeral Directors.
Gabby is district manager for four local funeral
directors all owned and managed by Lodge Brothers,
a seventh generation family of local funeral directors.
As well as A. V. Smith & Sons, these include
Walding & Son in Uxbridge and Lodge Brothers
in Yiewsley.
Commenting on the Diploma, Gabby, who has worked
for Lodge Brothers for four years, said “I
wanted to achieve this qualification to enhance
my knowledge and understanding of the profession
so that I can deliver the highest standard of
service to our clients”.
Robert Lodge, chairman of Lodge Brothers, remarked
