Funeral Director gets in the
swim
 Local
funeral director Quentin Edgington, manager of
G.S. Keates & Co in Hampton Hill, recently
completed a 5000 metres timed swim in the sponsored
Swimathon charity event held at Hampton Pool.
Quentin is pictured here receiving a sponsorship
cheque from Robert Lodge, one of the ‘family
owners’ of G.S.Keates & Co.
Explaining why he participated in the sponsored
swim Quentin explained “I swim regularly
and this is an excellent way to raise money for
charity. Swimathon is the largest sponsored charity
swim in the world and raises much needed funds
for the National Childrens Homes and the Swimathon
Foundation which supports sports for the disabled.
Also, all monies raised from the sponsors goes
directly to the two charities as participants
pay a separate entry fee to cover all administration
costs”.
