Held on the 10th of December over a 170 people packed the Village Hall. The Reverend John McCabe, Father Anthony Hale and Mr. Philip Way carried out the service and there were closing remarks by Keith Hopkins, the manager of G. Boutell.
Carols were sung to the rousing accompaniment of the Bagshot Concert Band.
At the end of the service refreshments were served.
Andrew Lodge, Director of Lodge Brothers (Funerals) Ltd who own G. Boutell, said, “we have been holding this service for over 5 years and each year is better than the one before. We feel it provides an opportunity to those who have suffered a bereavement to remember their loved ones in the hectic period before Christmas. Christmas is traditionally a time for families and this may be the first Christmas without a loved one.”
The carol service was thought to be a great success with many people finding comfort in the words and music.
